...I want to print something? Printing service is available free of charge to lab users. Each user may print two copies of output. Users and encouraged to use the print preview feature found in most software. The lab assistants are watchful of paper use - excesses are reported to the lab manager. If you are questioned about your paper use, please remember it is an effort to manage our resources and keep our costs down. If you want to print text files that are more than 20 pages in length, or any graphical document, check with the lab assistant and schedule a time that would work - that way you don't have to wait as long and others are not inconvenienced either. |

...I want to surf the net, chat, or play a game? Surfing and chatting is okay as long as the resources are available. If the machines are needed for academic purposes, chatters and surfers will be asked to move to another machine or to come back another time. Cooperating with the lab assistants will assure continued freedom in these areas. You are welcome to play the games installed on the systems. You may not install any other gaming software in the CCC. |

...I want to work in the classroom, or use the projector? The classroom portion of the CCC is available to users when there is no class scheduled to meet. The room will be open until 30 minutes before a scheduled class. |

...the lab is really busy and there are no machines available? The lab staff will try to accommodate a student's needs if the lab is busy. We will open up the overflow lab if a computer is not readily made available. If a person leaves a machine unattended for more than 15 minutes, the computer will be logged off by the assistant on duty and reassigned to a new user if there is a need. The lab staff is not responsible for the loss of software or data resulting from logging a person off. |
